Thank you Anne. Maybe we will get down to DC before this closes. I could not agree more with your assessment of photo-takers at art museums. In 2022, while visiting the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, post flight and tired, I fled after an hour because of the annoyance of folks taking selfies (with sticks) and other bad behavior around capturing an Instagram moment.
Wonderful as always. I volunteer at the National Gallery these days and upon seeing the library's Life in Paris 1874, "movie", I asked about what it really was as I'm pretty sure movie films didn't exist back in 1874. I was told that they were created using the NGA historic photos and, with the help of computers, they were able to extend the probable direction of travel of figures that appeared to be in motion. A fun way to help imagine how it was back then.
